The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant baptism. Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices.

This year’s 2021 Candidate is Helenn Lemastre, known as the “inquirer” has begun the acceptance into the Order of Catechumens, through the Rite of Acceptance. During this Rite, she stands amidst our parish community and states that she wants to become a baptized member of the Catholic Church. Please pray for Helenn as she continues her journey to the Rite of Election.

Congratulations to all those who were confirmed in 2020. We thank Fr. Brian McHugh from Saint Catherine’s. Please remember in your prayers our St John’s RCIA Candidates: Hannah Heyliger & Laura Needham Who received the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation.

If you are an adult interested in receiving any of your sacraments, please contact Director of RCIA Louise Dussault at the parish office at 617-547-4880.
