Parish Financial Council

The Parish Financial Council focuses specifically on the financial and temporal affairs of the parish.

They advise the pastor on budgeting, financial planning, fundraising, maintenance of buildings, and stewardship of resources. They Review budgets, financial reports, audits, and capital projects.

Canon law requires every parish to have a Finance Council (Canon 537). It has a consultative role, but pastors are expected to take its advice seriously, especially on major expenditures or financial plans.
